Chronic Pain Community Hub

My name's Carole Justice Gray, I wanted to reach out as I'm setting up the Chronic Pain Community Hub — a new community interest company.

Published: 3 September 2026

We plan for the hub to be based at Woodford Halse Memorial Hall, to support people living with chronic pain in Woodford Halse, Byfield and the surrounding villages (including Badby, Chipping Warden, Blakesley, Charwelton, Aston le Walls, Everdon, Litchborough, Farthingstone, Eydon, Newnham, Preston Capes, all within the local area of Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire).

We’re currently running a short community needs survey to help us understand how much chronic pain affects people locally, what kind of support would actually help, and to support funding applications as we get the Hub ready to launch. It’s anonymous, takes a few minutes, and covers paper and online versions — I’ve attached both the survey poster and the link below.

I wondered whether you’d be happy to share the poster and link in your parish newsletter, or display the poster somewhere like the village hall or noticeboard, maybe on your website if that was appropriate — wherever works best for you.

Chronic pain is often invisible, and in a rural area like ours people are used to travelling for support rather than expecting it on the doorstep — so hearing directly from as many villages as possible really does make a difference to how well we can make the case for local support, including in funding applications.

Thank you so much for considering this — and please do get in touch if you have any questions at all.

With thanks, best wishes,

Carole Justice Gray
